For Partners
IIMI Institute's Children's Scoliosis Center works with pediatricians, pediatric orthopedists, school doctors, and rehabilitation clinics across the CIS. This page outlines cooperation formats for patients aged 8–18 with confirmed scoliosis (Cobb angle ≥ 10°).
Cooperation opportunities
Referring a child with confirmed scoliosis
A pediatrician or orthopedist refers a case with Cobb angle ≥ 10° and an EOS or serial X-ray. IIMI Institute handles the visa, Munich arrival, consultation with a pediatric spine surgeon, and returns a structured discharge note to the referring physician.
Second opinion on Cobb, Risser & strategy
The Munich pediatric spine team analyses the imaging and clinical context. The response covers Cobb angle, Risser stage, progression risk, and a justified recommendation — observation, bracing, or surgery, including the intervention window.
Chêneau-Gensingen & Rigo bracing
Cooperation with orthotists trained in the Chêneau-Gensingen and Rigo protocols. Joint fittings, training on tightness checks, and adherence monitoring for the referring clinic’s team are available.
Schroth therapy & case conferences
Fellowships in Schroth Best-Practice therapy for physiotherapists, case reviews with the Munich pediatric spine surgeon, online lectures for CIS pediatric teams on current criteria for surgical decision-making.
What IIMI Institute offers partners
Munich pediatric spine team
The case is led by operating spine surgeons Prof. Dr. Christoph Mehren and Dr. Alexander Krenauer, formerly heading the spine program at Schön Klinik München-Harlaching, now co-founders of SpineCare München. Contact with the referring physician is maintained from first inquiry to discharge.
Structured plan for the referring doctor
The discharge covers Cobb, Risser, brace hours, Schroth frequency, and re-check interval — in a format usable for continued follow-up in CIS.
EOS imaging & reproducible measurements
EOS low-dose biplanar X-ray and standardised Cobb methodology: comparable numbers between visits, not subjective assessment.
1-hour response
Working window 08:00–18:00 Munich time, 7 days a week. The coordinator writes in Russian.
